be With B: Being Organized

“It feels so good to walk downstairs in the morning and have a fresh palette” -Elizabeth

Join Brigid and Elizabeth as they chat organization tips- for those who despise the daily cleanup and love the big projects to those that thrive on the calm of daily tidying. From the mountain of packaging that online shopping entails, to the secret chicken nuggets you had in the car, B&E chat about how to bring calm to life’s chaos by having an organizational plan.  A few tips:

  • Process mail and packages as they come in - don’t let those boxes pile up!
  • Embrace the nightly sweep -deal with the dishes in the sink, clear the counter, and put the shoes away. Whatever it is that piles up, tackle a bit of it nightly before you go to bed.
  • Unload the car daily. Before you walk into the house, clean up those wrappers and water bottles, whether from your kids meals on-the-go or your secret car snacks.
  • Purge the night before trash day. Marie Kondo all of that clutter, which hopefully you don’t have too much of if you’re tidying daily.
  • Have a clean work surface & have a space for everything. Even if your method to keeping that work surface clean is to have a few stacks or piles, if it works for you embrace the system. Having space for everything makes it easier to keep the surface clean.
